i really couldn't remember if I had set up a Christmas tree or helped mom put up one when I was a kid.
And If i did, i would honestly say that i'm missing it now ─ the tree. that green tree. [thanks to the mister's fam.. i could still get to see a beautiful tree..]
'cause what i always like to use during this season is a bunch of dried twigs.
i remember when we were still at the apartment.. i would put up an inverted tree [bundle of twigs] at the ceiling with clipped cards.. crystals and ribbons hanging. i would just love to stare and see how it moves... ..It's Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air anyway.
so every time i'd see this tree in church.. i would look at it and simply smile.
it's actually a tree of 'pasasalamat'.. where people could say their thanks.. wishes and prayers and write them down on heart-shaped papers and hang them there. It's also a way of giving thanks to another wonderful year that is to end and for a new year that is to come.
